Using loans to finance college.

Tools I use:
I've tried a few things.. mint.com, quicken... excel. It's like each program offers benefits but none of them do everything I would like (easily anyway). Quicken would be perfect if I could make it work with paypal correctly.
I need help with:
My income comes in sporadically since I'm self employed. I don't make "X" amount every week like a salary. One week may give me $1200 in income, while the next week maybe $40. It's hard to manage that when bills come due regardless of when the money is there!
